Here is a brief bio about my musical journey below. Thanks for visiting!


Nick Webb is a musician based in St Leonards On Sea (UK). Webb plied his trade fronting indie bands capital and Emperor the Stag.  Some of Webb's work has been recognised in the following way.

Webb has

  • Been interviewed on BBC 6music as Steve Lamacq's favourite new act. (with capital)
  • Received air time on BBC radio 1 & 2 (Huw Stevens, Steve Lamacq) (with capital)
  • Been in session for BBC introducing South (with Emperor the Stag)
  • Been signed to Fierce Panda Records  (with capital)
  • Toured with Athlete (supported) White Lies and Laura Marling.
  • Played venues such as the 100 club, The Oran Mor and several O2 Academies.
  • Collaborated with Talitha Rise on Bloodfox which was praised by Record Collector and Prog Rock. 
  • Worked with Julia Holter on a words / non words project
  • Been introduced by the BBC with his own work, bands and collaborations.
  • Wrote a score for play Code of Conduct Brighton fringe festival.

Webb can often gravitate towards instrumental compositions with spoken word and field recordings as well as lo-fi finger picking and haunting harmonies. 


Webb enjoys an eclectic range of artists and bands from Miles Davis to Kate Bush.

Love it! (The Magpie Turns) Great songs, and the production is awesome too. I love the weird layered vocals used in places - very spooky and distinctive. Loads of great sounds in there too.
